What is Carbon Offset?
When you novate a car with SG Fleet, you can choose to include a Carbon Offset provision as part of your salary package. This gives you a simple way to help offset the emissions associated with your vehicle. For the life of your lease, SG Fleet will offset approximately 4.5 tonnes of your car’s carbon emissions each year.

How does a carbon credit work?
Carbon credits are generated by activities that create renewable energy, or other activities such as energy efficiency, bio-sequestration, and methane destruction.
To ensure integrity and impact, SG Fleet invests offset credits exclusively in internationally recognised environmental projects that actively reduce or remove emissions from the atmosphere.
These include:
Renewable energy projects in India that displace fossil fuel–based power generation
Forest conservation and biodiversity protection initiatives in regions such as the Congo Basin and Turkey
Sustainable land‑use and biomass programs that deliver long‑term climate and community benefits
